About Me

I believe every individual is unique and deserves personalized, passionate care. I work with individuals 16+ and I am deeply committed to supporting you wherever you are in your journey. I aim to create a safe, authentic, and vulnerable space for those seeking to regain control of their lives. I understand that healing is a deeply personal and unique journey for individuals. My role is to help guide and support you as you work to heal from past traumas and grow in your life.

I have a connection with a wide variety of populations, and specialize in veterans, military families, LGBTQ+, and athletes. I hope to help destigmatize mental healthcare for athletes. I work with a wide range of issues, including trauma, domestic violence, emotionally and psychologically abusive relationships, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

My therapeutic orientation is person-centered, trauma-focused, strength-based, and my practice centers on the belief that each individual possesses an innate capacity for growth, self-awareness, and healing. Drawing from humanistic principles, I foster a deeply empathetic, non-judgmental, and authentic space where you are seen, heard, and valued for who you are. I believe that true change and healing emerge from within, and my role is to facilitate your exploration of your unique potential. I used evidence-based treatments (such as CBT, ACT, and DBT) to help clients develop new skills and tap into their strengths and resilient nature.

I recognize that trauma is stored in the nervous system and not just the mind, which leads the body to stay in a state of heightened alert. I take an integrated approach to mental and physical health. I enjoy incorporating traditional therapeutic modalities alongside movement and time outdoors in nature. This multifaceted approach may include walk-and-talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic exercises, and in-person talk therapy to help clients strengthen the connection between mind and body, reduce muscular tension, and calm the nervous system.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Human Factors from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University (CACREP-accredited). I earned my Master of Science in Space Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, along the way, with a career transition that transpired following my time in the military. I have trained and worked at a local non-profit that supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. My work in that realm was driven by a strong passion and commitment to advocating for survivors, restoring their sense of safety, and empowering them throughout their healing journey.

I am a Mother, an Air Force Veteran, a photographer, and a lifelong athlete. I maintain certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Performance Enhancement, and USA Weightlifting Level 1. When I’m not busy with my family, I enjoy music, reading, traveling, coffee, and spending time in the great outdoors. Landscape photography has become a passion during my outdoor adventures, and I have entered some of my work in local art shows.

* I offer virtual and walk-and-talk therapy (coming soon!) in the local Colorado Springs area.
